CHALLENGE

An athlete-focused CBD brand wants to create a weekly interview show.

SOLUTION

Develop look and feel, consistent graphics package, accompanying marketing assets—and edit the whole thing.

SIDELINE HUDDLE

Sideline Huddle is hosted by Mendi CEO Rachael Rapinoe and is about sports, science, CBD and leveling the playing field—a uniquely engaging extension of the Mendi brand. They had the ethos and the athletes, but the series had to be built from the ground up. First, I created a logo mark and graphics for the show designed to live harmoniously within their identity.

I also developed a package of motion graphics styles, to be used consistently throughout any video to give it a polished feel.

With the branding and graphics in place, everything was set to edit the weekly series. Full-length episodes were edited from 1+ hour long chats to 15 minutes for IG TV, YouTube as well as the Mendi website. Check out a couple below.

Because of the sheer mass of material, there was plenty of room to do more. Short snippets were created from episode content to highlight different questions from the show on Instagram.

But, people still had to find it and watch it. I also designed and wrote static and video promotional ads, and wrote and edited audio ads, to promote the series.
